A simple map for understanding where you feel open, where you may feel blocked, and how to gently support the flow of energy through your body.
You do not need to know anything about chakras to begin. Start with curiosity. Notice what resonates. Let this guide become a conversation with your body, your emotions, your voice, your intuition, and your inner world.
In yogic traditions, chakras are described as energy centers within the subtle body. The seven-chakra system commonly used today offers a beautiful map for exploring different aspects of the human experience, from grounding, emotion, and personal power to love, expression, intuition, and spiritual connection. Chakra teachings have evolved across different yogic and tantric traditions, and the familiar seven-chakra model presented here is one widely used framework rather than the only chakra system.
You can think of the chakras as a map for self-awareness. Rather than worrying about whether a chakra is perfectly “open” or “closed,” begin by noticing what is happening within you.
There is no perfect chakra system to achieve. The invitation is simply to listen more deeply.
Safety · Stability · Belonging · Grounding
You may feel grounded, present, supported, and comfortable in your body. There is a sense of stability beneath you, even when life around you is changing. You feel connected to the Earth, your physical body, your home, and your basic needs.
You may notice:
Where in my life am I craving more safety, stability, or support?
I am here.
I am supported.
I belong.
Emotion · Pleasure · Creativity · Sensuality · Flow
You may feel emotionally connected, creative, receptive, playful, and alive. You are able to experience pleasure without losing yourself within it. Feelings are allowed to move through you. There is space for desire, creativity, sensuality, and receiving.
You may notice:
What wants to be felt, enjoyed, or created through me?
I allow myself to feel.
I allow myself to create.
I allow myself to receive.
Confidence · Choice · Will · Self-Trust · Action
You may feel capable, clear, and self-directed. You trust yourself to make decisions without constantly seeking approval from others. Your power feels steady rather than forceful. You can take action while remaining connected to yourself.
You may notice:
Where am I ready to trust myself more deeply?
My power is clear.
My power is grounded.
I trust myself.
Love · Compassion · Grief · Connection · Receiving
You may feel open, compassionate, connected, and able to both give and receive love. You can care deeply without abandoning yourself. You understand that tenderness and boundaries can exist together. Your heart can remain open while still honoring what is true for you.
You may notice:
What would love look like here if it included me too?
I can remain open
without abandoning myself.
Truth · Expression · Listening · Voice
You may feel able to speak honestly, listen deeply, and express what you need. Your outer words begin to reflect your inner truth. You feel increasingly comfortable allowing your authentic voice to be heard.
You may notice:
What truth is asking to be expressed with clarity and compassion?
My voice is worthy of space.
I allow myself to be heard.
Intuition · Insight · Imagination · Discernment
You may feel intuitive, perceptive, imaginative, and able to recognize patterns. You can listen to your inner knowing while remaining grounded in reality. Intuition and discernment work together.
You may notice:
What becomes visible when I stop trying to immediately explain everything?
I trust my inner knowing
and honor discernment.
Meaning · Connection · Mystery · Unity
You may feel connected to something larger than yourself while remaining present in ordinary life. Spirituality brings humility, meaning, reverence, and a deeper relationship with mystery. You do not need to understand everything in order to feel connected.
You may notice:
How can what I touch in spirit become more embodied in the way I live?
I am open to mystery
and rooted in this life.
You do not need to work on all seven chakras at once. Read through the guide again and notice which chakra creates the strongest response within you.
Which one feels familiar? Which one feels tender? Which one feels alive? Which one makes you want to look away?
Rather than immediately labeling that chakra as “blocked,” become curious about what it may be showing you.

Awareness is already movement.
You do not have to force the next step.
That is enough for today.
You do not have to work on all seven centers at once. Begin with the place that is asking for your attention.

Reading about the chakras gives us language. Embodiment gives us experience.
In a chakra-focused Kundalini Activation ceremony, we move gently from Root to Crown. Through intention, sound, presence, and energetic facilitation, we bring awareness to each center and notice what arises before surrendering into the fuller Kundalini Activation experience.
The experience itself is simple. You lie down. Music plays. You are invited to soften, listen inward, and allow whatever sensations, emotions, movement, or stillness naturally arise. You do not have to do anything or know anything in advance. I am with you the whole time.
Nothing needs to be forced. You do not need to see colors, feel every chakra, move, or have a dramatic experience. Every person’s response is unique. The invitation is simply to arrive exactly as you are, listen to your system, and allow your experience to unfold in its own rhythm.

The chakra system is a spiritual and contemplative framework rather than a medical diagnostic system. The experiences described as “balanced,” “blocked,” or “out of balance” are invitations for personal reflection and should not be used to diagnose physical or mental-health conditions.
Kundalini Activation and chakra practices are complementary spiritual wellness practices and are not substitutes for medical, psychological, or psychiatric care.
